Stone Coated Steel roofing is typically made from 26 gauge steel. Once it has been pressed into a specific profile it is treated with an acrylic resin and colored stone chips. Finally, an acrylic overglaze is applied. A stone coated steel roof is an excellent choice when replacing a Hardi Shake or a wood shake/shingle roof.
